I have been waiting to post something on my 40 years of existence because it hasn’t quite set in that I am really that old! It has been a ride let me tell you!

Visiting my childhood home after a year of being away gives perspective and some gratefulness! Also some very confusing things to think about.

This past year has been a wonderful trainwreck. It is amazing that I am able to start over, yet again, with a new life, location, and love.

Here are some of the amazing and awful things I have accomplished(not in chronological order at all):

Friends that I have had for 32 years
3 relationships failed, but with many lessons
Figured out and then forgot and then figured out my self worth
Started a few businesses
Renovated many houses
Taught many new investors the basics of real estate investing
Graduated from college with a 4.0 after dropping out of high school and getting a GED
Formed Joint Ventures
Have sold and now am selling amazing Kitchens to investors, contractors, and homeowners at a fantastic price
Learned how to design and sell cabinets (not something that I thought I would do but it fell into my lap and now I love it!)
Lived in one state for 38 years
Moved to my dream destination, drove 16 hours, slept 3, then drove the remaining 12 to get there in 2 days when it should have taken 3 and only took what I could fit in my Jeep with me
Owned 3 Jeep Grand Cherokees
One year I owned and sold about 75 cars priced $500 or less
Lived off food stamps and welfare to take care of my infant son
Had a child at 17 who I adore
Raised and am still raising 2 step children whom I love as much as ever
Learned how to find myself
Spent a year learning how to get past trauma
Spent some time when I was younger trying almost every kind of drug out there
Have only been completely shitfaced on alcohol about as many times as I can count on my fingers.
Failed at being a parent and prospered at being a parent
Felt extremely bad for being a young and not-ready-to-be-a-parent parent to my son but working hard to rectify that now
Been physically and mentally abused by men who were supposed to love me
Filed Bankruptcy
Presented developments to city council for approval
Made scary massive moves to change my life
Raised farm animals for food
Ice fished alone by opening other people’s holes from the day before to feed myself and my son
Learned how to be a fantastic cook
Figured out that I love to write and have written many things
Helped many women get their feet wet in business
Learned how to market on many platforms
Learned the importance of contracts
Grown many flowers and plants
Designed flower arrangements
Owned a bar that was an epic mistake. I am not a bar owner and neither is the person I got it for to run
Manifested my true love. The man I have dreamed of finding my whole life and it is amazing
Gotten a complete second chance armed with knowledge
Been so depressed that I didn’t know if I wanted to still be alive
Learned to read and speak hebrew
Learned to play the piano
Took dance lessons when I was young
Danced the night away as an adult, like no one was watching

Bought other houses with boyfriends and my now ex husband
Gotten married and divorced

Have felt comfortable in a room full of those same people
Have spoken in front of hundreds of people on multiple occasions
Created this blog and continue to post my thoughts on here for people to read
Had my General Contractor’s license and built houses
Had a great lesson on trusting someone with your empire and all your funding, DON’T, you won’t know where to begin to pick up the pieces when the totally screw you
Got my conceal and carry permit for the pistols I own
Watched many medical devices work well and many that went back to the drawing board as a research associate
Learned how to perform basic surgical procedures
Gotten laid off from my end all, be all job and lost my identity at the same time
Practiced Tae Kwon Do with my son and got to my red belt
Traveled to many places around this beautiful country
Climbed to most of the mountain tops in San Diego County
Read “Tools of Titans” by Tim Ferriss all the way through (took a while, it’s a huge book)
Changed my vision for my life many times, but have recently figured out who I am without being tied to what I do for a living
Have been the bread winner for most of my adult life
Joined a mastermind group well before I was ready for that setting and when they told me to get vulnerable, I lost my shit in front of all these new people being vulnerable

Had a phase where I would “tag” and sprayed my tag all over Minneapolis
Ran a few 5k’s
Did the Tough Mudder and the Warrior Dash and didn’t die
Volunteered for WWP, Freedom Farm, and Riding Above Disability, plus Feed My Starving Children, and have been to many Galas for other fundraisers

Tipped over a small sailboat completely. Mast down and all
Shot arrows
Rode my bike a couple of miles to go to my parents when I was in kindergarten

Ridden many horses
I have been surfing, but I haven’t stood up on the board yet. Still to come
Hosted large events for professionals at event centers and also for family and friends at my home
Drove 25,000 miles in one year around the city I lived in
Learned how intuitive I am as well as how sensitive I am to other people’s emotions
Played softball as an adult, but never did any sports as a child
Made Sushi
Danced on stage with the band more than once
Sang Karaoke at the bar
Dyed my hair blue and purple, have had a rainbow too
Had a network marketing business
Ridden 4 wheelers through the mud and snowmobiles on frozen lakes
Admired many cups of coffee with leaves and hearts in the foam
Acquired many friends and let go of others

Above all, I have LOVED all of it.

I can’t wait to hear your list!

I have a lot left to do in this lifetime and am looking forward to many more years of life and experiences. I will keep sharing all the cool things in my small little world, and look forward to learning more and experiencing more and growing more.

Cheers to 40!
