This week the Powerball lottery game was up to 750 million dollars. Holy COW that is a lot of money!!
We, of course, had to buy a ticket because if you don’t play you can’t win. This message was also a message in a podcast I was listening to this week. The story went like this: A man was praying every single day, “dear god, please let me win the lottery.” He prayed every single day and night. Please god, let me win the lottery!
Then one night, god came to this man in a vision and he said, “Buy a darn ticket, would ya?!?”
I thought that story was pretty cute.
So 750 million dollars is up for grabs. We bought the ticket to have a shot. Every time I see the billboard with the numbers lit up, I start to dream. I could imagine all the things I would do with that money.
I would spend some of it foolishly on lavish items for myself and my family (spa days, new clothes, a trip or two, a new vehicle), but I would also donate some of it to starting a foundation for women, start a business of lending the money out for construction projects, and quite a few more things.
I wanted to manifest the win, so I started envisioning how life would look if we won the jackpot. I believed it so hard, I mean hardcore believed it to try to make it come true, but I was limited. We looked at the ticket and it had many numbers that were randomly selected that fit into our life scheme that we figured it HAD TO be our turn to win. 17 for the year I met Steve, 35 for his age, 40 for the age I am turning, and the Powerball number was 19 for 2019! There were so many matches. We couldn’t figure out 20 and 49 so those numbers are the random selections lol.
I was limited in the amount of money I was willing to put into a chance with 1 in basically a billion chance of winning, limited with the variables I could control to make the win happen, and limited in the strategies I could implement into making my ticket into the winning ticket.
The likelihood of us winning was incredibly slim because of all the reasons I just mentioned. Regardless of winning, however, we are still happy and will continue to live this way because while having a lot of money is fantastic, we would continue to live our lives doing what we do.
You can apply this story to business life or personal growth.
You can get sold on the hype, pray to god/universe to make your wish come true. You can visualize what life would be when you get “there,” and even believe that you already have the winning answer to amass millions of dollars, they are only just wishes and prayers that won’t get answered unless you get off your butt and go to work. Get those variables under control, have a plan and a map for directions, and take ACTION!
Don’t get involved in something that has that 1 in a billion chance for success with no roadmap, action, or items that you can use to make your dream come true! Don’t just wish it would happen, make it happen! You can do it!
Cheers!
