Hi All,
Sorry for taking a few days off for the holiday. I ended up working my butt off and not adhering to my health and wellness plan very well. I ate sandwiches and chips, and pizza and indulged in some cocktails. I also ran myself ragged for 4 days, but hey, that is what happens sometimes. I missed out on the friends and family time and didn’t watch fireworks. It was overall not spectacular in most regards, but worthwhile in others.
Back on track with light diet the last couple days however to kind of detox my body.
Got on track with my shakes for breakfast. I had oatmeal for a snack and went to dinner with a girlfriend and had sushi. I must have walked miles and miles over the weekend because my whole body was sore yesterday. I did some stretching today to try to reduce some of the ache. A little yoga for me today and back at the full workout tomorrow.
I say this because we all get off track. We all have days that don’t add up to what we want them to be or we get mad at ourselves for overindulging, drinking too many calories, having that dessert that was sitting there, and doing many other things in the course of a couple of days that we aren’t too happy about. Don’t beat yourself up! We ALL DO IT! Even the fitness model that shows nothing but greens and chicken for meals all day every day goes out and has a glass of wine or eats something totally unhealthy for them. It is ok and sometimes an emotional necessity. Restricting things in the human brain builds until it is so restricted that it has to splurge! It is the same with money or time spent on activities we love etc. You restrict it so much, you eventually overindulge. It is one of those crazy mind tricks. That is why you have to allow yourself a little bit of indulgence on a regular basis. Make sure you don’t do what I do however and get in the restrict/overindulge habit.
Here is what I am going to work on this week:
Things that are easily packed for meals and snacks so I don’t default to crap
Packaging the items I find into a nice little meal plan
Ensuring that I actually stick to my goals by keeping tabs (this blog helps so much with that so thank you for reading it and keeping me accountable!)
Keep my nutrition plan up with shakes and cleanse days
Find a different workout to try one day a week and share it.
That is enough for now.
I am currently working on closing out some negativity in my life and it is super exciting to know the end is near, but I tell you what… the lead up to it is really, really hard so cross your fingers that I end it on a great note so I can move on to a more abundant life! I got big plans and dreams people, I need all the good vibes I can to banish the bad!
Thanks for reading! Cheers to getting back on the health wagon (again…)
