Today I sit and look out my window and think about the way life is ever-changing and ever crazy. One chapter in life closing opens another chapter. New chapters always bring challenges, but also joy in production. You can find new ways to do the things that you enjoy. Sometimes however, you can still feel the linger of things in the past and there may be a little sting to it but that is gone and this is now. The future is always bright if you perceive it that way.
Driving around doing my thing yesterday I see many different walks of life. I am enthralled in thoughts of my life’s progression, the thought patterns I have right at this moment and wondering what changes will come my way this time.
I see the guy who has to be in his late 20’s, early 30’s driving the 1995 Geo prism down the road with his hair down to his shoulders and a sponge bob antenna attachment bending the antenna down as the breeze blows past. Then I see the businessman in his suit and tie with his silver (probably titanium or platinum or something, but silver for effective visualization in this post) watch shining that bright reflection from the sun that catches your eye instantly. I see the mom in her SUV with children in tow, the old grandpa in his Buick, the Lexus guy, the pretty blonde in her pretty car and on and on. What stuck in my head was the guy in the geo.
What stage of his life was this guy at? Was he a “live in my mom’s basement” 30 something? Did he have a lot of money, but chose to drive that geo? Was he fresh out of college in his new job or job search mode? It was curious to me how much I thought about the course of this person’s life. I reflected on my past when I was driving old junky cars. They were all cheap as can be and they were usually effective transportation. One of my new business partners just bought an old mercury hatchback because he is nerdy like that, but he earns plenty of money and can drive whatever he chooses to drive!
I wish we would have been in a parking lot or something so I could have asked the questions to find out what this guy’s story was. I am super curious! The guy in the geo with shoulder length hair and glasses and sponge bob made me more curious than any of the fancier, flashier, newer cars with middle class normal looking people in them. I am one of those normal looking middle class looking people when I drive down the road too! I don’t stand out in a crowd, or on the road in my standard vehicle. I go with the flow and sometimes add purple or pink to my hair but never the whole head. People are judgy but I think I don’t care any more.
On the flip note, running around a softball field helping your daughter practice before a game is an awesome workout! I think I should put together some of the moves that I did while running around like crazy! I think there are moves that I can incorporate into other workout routines and it is fun!
I ate mostly a fruit, vegetable and chicken diet yesterday. Had fruit for breakfast, chicken with rice and black beans for lunch and my husband made us a whole baked chicken with carrots and potatoes yesterday. I am also super excited for my new shake flavor to come! Peach Mango! Can’t argue with that!
Cheers to drifting thoughts of curiosity about the guy that stands out in his GEO Prism lol!
