Today the great outdoors was my gym. I was outside in the sun with the nice cool breeze blowing. I was surrounded by the coo of the birds, the sound of the breeze blowing through the tall grass, and the smell of morning in a field that was covered in dew. You can smell the lusciousness of the flowers in the flowers and grasses nearby.

I decided to do a little plyometric workout. That means a lot of jumping around and cardio intense. I varied between jump squats, lunge kicks, side to side knee raises with a jump between sides, jumping jacks, and tire stepping (without the tires). I alternated between those for 15 minutes. Then I took it down a notch and did side lunges, squat kicks, stepping squats and around the world lunges. I finished it off with some crunches, butt lifts, leg raises, full sit ups, mountain climbers, and v-ups.

I decided to do 7 minutes of yoga poses and sun salutations to get my stretching in and really feel my workout. I think i stretched one of my hamstrings too far though, because I can feel it now …UGH.. It happens I guess. I will just have to massage it out and try again tomorrow. No one’s perfect! lol!

I am going to have my super awesome Isalean mocha shake for breakfast and for my after workout protein this am. I will have to be extra conscious of what I am putting into my mouth this weekend with it being a holiday. I have a tendency to snack a lot when holidays come around. There is always so many fantastically tasty things to eat within my reach! Geez. Willpower you better bring it for the next 4 days!

I think I will go read a little now and hopefully have more insight to share with you tomorrow!
