I have decided now that I have my awesome product back in my life, I am going to go on a journey again.
I lost too much weight once before, recently…25lbs actually which going from a 140lb girl to a 115lb girl is not so appealing. I had no muscle left, not body fat, I didn’t look healthy.
I stopped using all my product and only drank a shake when I needed a little nutrition boost, but I decided to just get some weight back on. After going off, I noticed my hair is not as healthy, my nails are weaker, my dark circles are coming back, I am not sleeping as well, and overall my mood has sucked. I peaked with the amount of weight I gained to the point I am higher than I was before. Before all the critics out there get on scoff bandwagon, there are many other things that I dislike besides the number on the scale which most of us can relate to.
I look back, I used to have abs, I was slender, I was muscular, I had confidence when I looked in the mirror and it had nothing to do with what the scale said. Now I have many areas on my body that I don’t like seeing. For example: my arms that once boasted creases and definition of muscles, now flop when I move my arm no matter how much I flex… there is still loose skin. My stomach, once was a flat 6 pack with definition in the external obliques that create that nice triangular shape, now a pooch (yes I have coined that an official term). I don’t even want to talk about the butt and thigh area.
I do notice that I can hide it relatively well and still look like I am in shape with clothes, but I have officially transitioned into “comfortable” clothes. I know that most people who are reading this can relate to the changes in your body that we all don’t like. I am unhappy with my appearance and overall health at the moment so I am making the changes I need to make. I just have the discipline of it all to contend with, because I have been free form eating for a few months now.
I know that losing weight and getting healthy is mostly related to what and how much you eat. I lost a lot of weight with little exercise and a change in diet. I ordered a new batch of my products that helped me in my journey and now am going to do it again, only this time, I am going to try to adjust to maintain when I get to a point that I am happy, not keep letting it drop like I did last time.
Anyway, Here is what I did on day 1:
Workout:
I warmed up with an elliptical machine for 6 min to get the blood flowing
I did 35 minutes of full body weight training ( I usually split my workout time with 50% upper and 50% lower body workouts). I do circuit training where I don’t rest in between sets. I move from one to the next with breaks only to set up equipment.
I do bicep curls, triceps curls, chest presses, single arm rows, shoulder presses, and tricep extensions. I usually throw other variations of things for upper body in there as well to mix it up a bit, but these are the basic upper body things I do.
I move to the squat rack to work on my lower body. I do hip distance squats with a bar on my shoulders behind my head, then I do wide stance squats where I squat in a plie style, then I do the knee and ankle together squats. I do two sets of each 8-10 squats per set.
I move to what I call the “butt machines.” There are machines that are to work on your hamstrings but I use them in various ways to get an extra butt workout. I do standing kick backs with weight, single leg hip adduction standing, single leg hip abduction standing, (these are done with the cable machine that is for hamstring curls but you can do this with a resistance band also), and knee ups (gives you an ab and butt workout).
I then went back to the elliptical for 20 min to get some cardio in.
I went to the mat to do crunches, reverse crunches, side bends with weights and ab rotations.
I stretched for 10 min working on all my muscle groups and that was it.
Food:
When I returned from the gym I had one of my meal replacement shakes. If you want more info on it, message me. I got my post workout protein in. I mixed into my strawberry shake: 1 banana, 1oz of my brain food/destress mixture, and 1oz of my newfound longevity mix.
For a snack around lunch I had a chobani yogurt and one of my awesome lemon protein bars with a bottle of water.
I just ate dinner which I had 4oz of ribeye that we cooked last night, a garden salad with olive garden dressing and dinner roll. I also drank 12 oz of water with dinner and am now drinking a cup of green tea.
I may have a 1/4 cup of some mixed nuts if I get hungry again, but I am pretty satisfied right now so maybe not.
Tomorrow I am going to try a workout that I saw that involves more plyometrics and calisthenics (body weight workout)
That’s what I have for you tonight! Hope you have a great evening and thanks for reading! It is always nice to know someone likes what you write 🙂
