I love my peaceful mornings. I love sitting in my kitchen having my coffee and listening to the sounds that happen when everything is quiet.

My mornings are reflecting time. It allows me to think about all the things that are going right in life. I try to focus on that because it makes me grateful for all those little things. It also allows me time to process the things that I need to do throughout the day. All the appointments I have to go to and the family things I do later in the day. I get my head on straight first thing!

Mornings are me time.

I’ve been reading the Tools of Titans book. One of the common themes between all of the people in this book is their morning routine. While not all of them do the same things or eat the same things, they all have a morning routine that doesn’t include waking up and going right to work.

They allow themselves an hour at least to do various morning primers.

Meditation
They all meditate. Sitting quietly and focusing on their inner self for at least 10 minutes. They all have different ways of meditation. Some do mantra type, some focus on breathing and how the body response hones in on where there may be tension.

Breakfast
Most eat breakfast. None of them mentioned pancakes and doughnuts however. They all have their own blend of protein and carbs either in shake form or solid foods. All who eat breakfast, eat very healthy foods. Some just start with coffee 😉

Writing 
Tim is big on keeping a journal. He gets all the items that are just sitting in his brain out on paper first thing so he can think clearly the rest of the day. Morning time is when you are most honest and also have all the ideas in your head that your subconscious came up with the night before. Get them on the paper!  He also writes for a few minutes at night to focus on gratitude.  I need to start doing that. I think we all do!

Exercise
No brainer, right? We all should exercise in the morning. Even if it is a ten minute thing where you are doing push ups, burpees, sit ups, or something of the like to get the blood flowing first thing! On top of that, if you didn’t get to the gym for the rest of the day, you at least got something in you can feel good about.

That is, in a nutshell, the fab 4 of the morning routine for most billionaires, millionaires, and top performers.

I gotta step up my game! lol I usually just drink coffee and peruse my Facebook page to see what all my friends did the night before! Then I sit with my coffee and listen to the quiet. Funny how the older I get, the quieter I like things.

Then I putz with the things that need to be taken care of, then more coffee, then I hit the computer. Granted, some mornings I go to the gym, but with this winter we are currently involved in, I hate leaving the house. I love my little morning routine, but if I want to be big time, I have to incorporate other things into it.
