What does an entrepreneur do when it is rainy and cloudy? We sit in a coffee shop and brainstorm our next moves in life. There are always so many things to do when you are your own boss and you never know what to do when! It is a confusing conundrum. I mean really! I love working for myself and I love what I do, but most days I want to pull my hair out! My life consists of waiting a lot of the time. Waiting on other people to perform their portion of the work, waiting for your payday, waiting to find out whether your plans are approved, just … waiting.
I woke up this morning optimistic! I know what the future holds, I know what I will accomplish for myself and my family. I have that vision in my head of what the success will look like, however, I am not doing this on my own. I have hired help that I am waiting on. I have partners that are working on their components of the business that I need them to do, but it takes time. Obviously I want gratification right now and I want to see results right now, but time is my nemesis. I am forced to wait.
That leaves me time to think. I have 6 month plans and goals, I have 3 month plans and goals. Now I need to focus on the day in front of me. What can I do right now to move me closer. So here I sit. I decided to write to my readers about this. What can I do today to work on getting closer. What steps do I need to take to make my 3 month goals a reality?
Since I have to work on branding, here is my blog to develop my branding. It allows people to get on here and learn a bit more about me.
I have to work on marketing and developing a “take me out of the equation” plan. I need to automate my business so I can take a hiatus and not be missed in the business sense. I mean, that is what a truly successful business is, right? One that isn’t reliant on one person to function.
The work in progress here is to hire an assistant. One that is the right fit and affordable since the cogs in the money wheel have to be built bigger to ensure I can get the quality I need. I look to outside resources for help. Currently I am talking with a VA company and real live person here in the city I am in. It is not really the person or company I hire, but the outline of business I need them to handle.
Operations manual is an immediate task I can work on. Step number 1 to my 3 month goal. FYI friends, this is a tough one! It is hard to document what you do on a daily basis! You are used to just handling it on your own! If you want someone to do it like you, you have to be able to clearly explain it! Ugh. I write, I think, I write and on and on.
As far as this goes, I have realized that I am putting too much of “me” into it. I changed directions. I jotted down the basic information in the pages of the manual. Now I am breaking myself of the need to micromanage, because in reality, there are people who can do this WAY better than I can. Remember that! You are hiring someone to replace you and do it better than you can, so relax and enter the basics. Guru mojo #1 lol!
I hope this helps a bit, I am off to do more thinking and working so I can implement my hard work! If you want to chat about this topic, I would be happy to chat. Different perspectives are always welcomed! Have a great day entrepreneurs!
