It is Labor day and life changes are happening!
“The vital force of labor added materially to the highest standard of living and the greatest production the world has ever known and has brought us closer to the realization of our traditional ideals of economic and political democracy. It is appropriate, therefore, that the nation pay tribute on Labor Day to the creator of so much of the nation’s strength, freedom, and leadership — the American worker.”
Think about that statement for a minute. The nation pay tribute on labor day to the creator of so much of the nation’s strength, freedom, and leadership – the American worker.
The American worker, from the business owner that works 80 hours a week making sure that people have jobs to take care of their families to the people who are working those jobs to take care of their families. We are all those that make this country great! It is a day for celebration of all your accomplishments in life and for all that you do to keep commerce alive in our nation. Also, I believe, it is a day for reflection. I believe that you should try to envision your life as it is and also how it could be if you follow your dreams. Are you happy at your current employer? Are you doing what you love to do? Does your choice of work give you satisfaction? Do you want more out of life?
These are questions I ask myself quite often. It is a way for me to check myself. I evaluate what I am doing and decide on what fits into my vision for life and what is taking away from it. Is my WHY still involved in my everyday? I have recently changed my vision on what I will be doing to accomplish my dreams. Change is totally ok! You can’t grow without change so evaluate often. What worked, what didn’t and change it!
There are so many ways to love what you do and make money doing it. YOU have to choose what way will be right for you.
Take a little time for you today and start figuring out your WHY!
Happy Labor Day!
